Spiff commissions are simply individual bonuses paid to a person or group of people based on a sales target. Often, these bonuses are based on specific product criteria (i.e. sell 5 widgets get a $10 spiff, or the first person to sell this new product widget will receive a $100 spiff).
Since these conditions are generally spontaneous, commission systems don’t normally incorporate spiffs into their systems. AgileComp for Salesforce handles this via manual adjustments. Since these one-offs are not the norm, you can enter a spiff as a commission adjustment. Commission adjustments are either positive or negative amounts placed on a commissionable user for a particular period.
Commission adjustments can be entered in AgileComp in two ways:
- at a single user-level
- entered against an entire team with a single entry
We also designed AgileComp to provide a screen so that a commission plan administrator can mass enter adjustments against multiple users at one time.
You could also utilize a data loader program to mass upload adjustments!
